John, it's wild to me that MAGA extremists are trying to ban people from obtaining an abortion while also blocking access to paid family leave and affordable child care.
Here in Missouri, where women are facing some of the most extreme abortion laws in the country, families are not guaranteed neither paid family leave nor universal pre-K. It's cruel and plain wrong for a politician to force their way into the exam room, and it's even worse when they won't provide resources to the people they are making decisions for.
It's backwards and heartless to offer so few protections for families. But this isn't just a moral issue; it's also an economic issue: More than a million mothers would rejoin the workforce if child care were affordable.
By investing in access to child care, we would give families more financial security, give more mothers the opportunity to lead their own careers, and give our economy a $48 billion boost every single year.
As a nurse, a children's advocate, and a parent, I know that the child care crisis requires bold leadership and swift action. That’s why I included bringing down the cost of child care by introducing a sliding scale limit on child care costs for families in my affordability plan.

Congress must pass similar legislation to secure affordable child care and paid family leave for the good of our families and for the good of our economy. And we must take action to stop the far-right extremists who are trying to turn the clock backwards on women's rights, civil rights, and so much more. That means defeating dangerous ideologues like my Trump-endorsed opponent here in Missouri.
When I'm elected to the Senate, I promise that I will work my heart out to win protections for families and for moms. But I won't be able to get to the Senate without help from people like you. Fixing everything wrong with Washington and winning with real, compassionate leadership will take a united grassroots movement. So please, can I count on your donation today? Together, I know that we will win a better future for families.

Trudy
