When it comes to the November elections, all roads lead to Ohio.
From the very top of the ticket in our Senate race, all the way down to local elections, Republicans are looking for a red wave to sweep through the state. They don’t want to just win these elections; they want to solidify their harmful GOP agenda for years to come.
We know we tell you over and over again how important these midterm elections are. But can you imagine the implications of full-blown Republican rule? Our voting rights, workers' rights, and everything in between could be on the chopping block. It would set our state back for generations.
When we mobilize voters to the polls for Marcy, we are also mobilizing voters who will make sure Democrats win up and down the ballot. We need to start right now, building out our ground game to make sure we have the infrastructure necessary to make sure every Democratic candidate wins. Marcy Kaptur isn’t the only incredible Democrat on the ticket this November. Her colleague, Tim Ryan, is taking on extremist JD Vance in the hopes of expanding our Democratic control in the U.S. Senate. And Nan Whaley, the current Mayor of Dayton, is running to flip Ohio blue and bring change to the Governor’s Mansion.
The number of Democratic voters we get to the polls will determine whether the GOP can maintain a red Ohio or if we have what it takes to hold back their extremist onslaught.
This is a team effort, and our ground game could be the deciding factor in races up and down the ballot right here in Ohio. We need to make sure we’re all pulling our weight, and that starts with getting a lead on our August fundraising goals.
