But I wanted to take a second to give you a campaign update myself.

I have a clear path to victory, but to keep my campaign firing on all cylinders I need to raise $8,713 TODAY to pay staff, fund digital ads, and buy water for volunteers. >>

When I announced I was running for Congress, I knew the odds were stacked against me. I didn’t have a wealthy network to get my campaign off the ground, and within the first 24 hours I launched, Breitbart was urging right-wing extremists to target me.

A lot has happened since then:

• I’ve been endorsed by Jamie Raskin, Elizabeth Warren, Ed Markey, Reverend Jesse Jackson, unions like the AFL-CIO, top gun violence prevention organizations, and so many more incredible change makers.
• I’ve gained the support of over 42,000 grassroots donors.
• I’ve communicated with thousands of voters, and have proven you can run a people powered campaign.

Whether you’ve been with me from the very beginning or only heard my name a few days ago, I’m so grateful to have had you on this journey with me.

That’s why I’m turning to you at this pivotal moment for my campaign. We’re still $8,713 short of what we need to take on my self-funded opponent who has jumped into the race to stop me in the final hour.
