Brothers and sisters --

You may have heard me say that the right to vote is precious -- almost sacred. It's the most powerful nonviolent tool that we have in our democracy.

In my heart of hearts, I believe that we have a moral responsibility to restore the right to vote for all of our citizens who desire to participate in the democratic process.

Many people marched and protested for the right to vote. Some gave a little blood. Others gave their very lives.

The work we started on our march to Selma remains unfinished today.

Fighting for the right to vote is fighting for the very soul of our nation. And that's not a fight to abandon.

If you're ready to continue the fight, will you donate $5 and join me?

It makes me sad, it makes me feel like crying when people are denied the right to vote.

But we cannot get lost in a sea of despair. We cannot become bitter or hostile. We have to be hopeful, to be optimistic.

We have to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.

The right to vote is not a Democratic or Republican issue. It is an American one.

The words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. have never been more true. He would often say that "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice."

We must tear down the barriers to the ballot box. We must do our part in this long fight for the very soul of our nation.

Let's save our nation and redeem the soul of America. Together.

Can I count on your $5?
