Make no mistake, team. MY GOP opponent Kari Lake wants to take us backward to a time with less freedom and personal liberties.

She spews misinformation about the 2020 election and panders to the most extreme corners of her party. Our state deserves better than Kari Lake. But the fight to stop her won’t be easy.

The folks threatening our democracy, our state, and our personal freedoms don’t just disagree with us on the issues they want to take over our state and take away any sense of normalcy we have left. Luckily, I’m no stranger to tough fights.

In 2020, during Trump’s “Big Lie” there were threats against me, against my life, and threats against my family. Armed protesters showed up at my home. Why were they there? Because as Secretary of State, I had the audacity to uphold our Constitution and administer our elections with integrity.

I weathered that storm and continued to fight for the people of Arizona as Secretary of State. And that’s exactly what I’ll do as governor: fight to ensure that Arizonans can live the lives they want without fear that the government will strip them of their most fundamental rights.

And I’m not alone. This year, three-quarters of our nation’s governors are up for election. There are 36 races across the country, including those in key states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
