After the votes were counted in Missouri's Senate primary this week, Lucas
Kunce [ [link removed] ]gave a speech that Mark Ruffalo and Bernie's campaign manager
elevated on social media for its power and authenticity.

"This is the most moving speech I’ve heard in ages," wrote one commenter.
I agree. I was there. Lucas spoke about growing up in poverty and nearly
defeating a self-funding billionaire heiress, and how we need to
fundamentally change who holds power across society -- including in
politics.

Harry Reid's former top aide reacted, "God I wish he had won." Here's the
thing. Lucas did win most of Missouri on election day when people knew the
choice. He lost absentee ballots, because early voters only saw ads from
his billionaire-heiress opponent for several weeks.

[ [link removed] ]You must watch his speech last night to understand why voters chose
Lucas and why he remains a national and Missouri rising star. It's not
like speeches you've heard before.

PCCC members have supported this campaign for over a year, so we want you
to know the facts.

* PCCC members donated over $95,000 to Lucas through over 8,000
grassroots donations. (Thank you!)
* With that money and other donations, he funded an amazing grassroots
campaign that came 5 points away from defeating a billionaire.
* On TV, Lucas spent $1.1 million. The billionaire heiress spent at
least $4.7 million.
* In the city of St. Louis, Lucas won the Election Day vote 40.5% to
38%. The billionaire heiress won early ballots 49% to 26%.
* In the city of Kansas City, Lucas won the Election Day vote 41% to
40%. The billionaire heiress won early ballots 64% to 20%.
* Lucas also won many rural areas and college towns -- showing that he
has the exact message Democrats need to attract new voters.
