Washington’s primary was a huge victory for Democrats. Ballot returns show that voters trust Democrats on the issues that matter most. Here’s what you need to know:
Primary night election results heavily favored Democrats across the state. Voters turned out and made their choice clear. And in the most hotly contested race in the state, Sen. Emily Randall earned 53 percent of the vote on primary election night, a sound victory over her opponent!
We saw a huge turnout among Democratic voters! Combining WA Democrats' legislative success with recent right-wing Supreme Court rulings such as the Dobbs decision, voters were motivated. Turnout is on track to surpass both 2014 and 2018!
We’re still in for a tough fight this November. Republican dark money groups spent over a million dollars attacking our Democrats – and they outspent us 2:1. With the midterms right around the corner, we know they’re prepared to spend even more.
We’re ready to take on the far-right extremists, defend our progress, and win! We have a whole lot of work ahead of us, but we know this grassroots team can help us get the job done.
