Hello Colorado Republicans -

This week, Jared Polis lied to voters, sending an "instructional letter" taking credit for your TABOR refund. He spent nearly $3 million in taxpayer money to do this. We filed a campaign finance violation against him for taking state dollars to campaign for himself. Heidi Ganahl relentlessly went after him for doing whatever it takes to get elected instead of solving real problems for the people of Colorado.

That's what we are as Republicans - problem solvers. We will work with our communities, our business owners, our parents, our students -- and all people -- to make Colorado affordable, prioritize public safety, and expand educational options for everyone. I'm counting on you to join me in working hard until 7pm on Election Day, until every voter we can persuade has turned in his or her ballot.

We're a powerful team when we stand together.

Thanks for being in the fight!

VIDEO UPDATE FROM CHAIRWOMAN KRISTI BURTON BROWN

Candidate of the Week: Tom Kim for SD-27

Tom Kim ([link removed]) is the grandson of immigrants from Korea. He is a husband, father, and small business owner. As a small business owner, Tom specializes in turning around struggling companies to help them improve their performance so they save jobs, build prosperity, and create opportunity for others. Tom's expertise in turning around struggling businesses will help with turning around our state.

Tom is running for Senate District 27 because as a father of two girls he is saddened the quality of life in Colorado has diminished. Crime and violent crime are the highest they've been in 20 years. Inflation is the highest it's been in 40 years. Gas prices are on the rise. Parents are being denied a voice in their children’s education. We have been seeing opportunity dwindle right in front of us. Tom will make sure law enforcement has the resources they need to keep us safe, fight to reduce taxes and fees to ease the burden of inflation the government has caused, and encourage parental involvement in schools while streamlining education funding to reach the classrooms NOT the administration.

** Colorado GOP files complaint against Polis over governor's letter touting TABOR refund
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Colorado Politics: ([link removed]) The Colorado Republican Party on Thursday filed a complaint against Gov. Jared Polis, alleging the Democrat violated campaign finance law by enclosing a letter with tax refund checks going in the mail this week to 3.1 million state residents.

Calling the move a "political stunt," state GOP chair Kristi Burton Brown said in a statement that the governor's message describing the checks — $750 for individual taxpayers and $1,500 for joint filers — "is indistinguishable from a campaign mailer" from Polis, who is running for reelection this year.
....

Burton Brown and other Republicans have been crying foul for months over Polis and Democrats taking credit for the refund program ([link removed]) after trying to repeal the TABOR provisions that require the state to refund surplus revenue, including with Proposition CC, a failed 2019 statewide ballot measure.

“Jared Polis is blatantly using taxpayer dollars to help himself get re-elected," Burton Brown said in a statement, noting that Polis and other Democrats now celebrating the program "fought to kill and undermine TABOR, but now they are using its benefits to lie to voters."

Senate candidate Joe O’Dea hits back on Democrat attacks
[link removed]
Sterling Journal-Advocate: ([link removed]) “I find it interesting that is being said, when Bennet has voted with [President] Joe Biden 98 percent of the time,” O’Dea said. “I’m a businessman. I have no political record. He has supported Biden’s agenda the whole time.”

He criticizes Bennet for his record on fentanyl and immigration, and especially on spending. Just last week, Bennet noted gun legislation and an endorsement from Everytown for Gun Safety, environmental priorities and childhood poverty among the work he’s continuing.

“He has been wrong on inflation, wrong on oil and gas, wrong on crime,” O’Dea said. “He has done nothing to help the working American.”

** These Colorado Dems Say They’re Running To Help ‘Working Families.’ They Voted for New Taxes Amid Rising Inflation.
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Washington Free Beacon ([link removed]) : A pair of Colorado Democrats say they're running for Congress to help "working families." During their time in the state legislature, they voted to create new taxes as Colorado families faced rising inflation.

In June 2021, state legislators Brittany Pettersen ([link removed]) and Yadira Caraveo ([link removed]) voted for legislation that increased Colorado's gas tax and imposed new fees on deliveries and Uber and Lyft rides. The vote came as inflation surged in the Centennial State under President Joe Biden. By the end of June 2021, the average price ([link removed]) for a gallon of gas in Colorado rose above $3.60, a nearly 50 percent increase from just six months prior. That same month, consumer prices increased 5.4 percent ([link removed]) from a year earlier, the then-largest monthly gain in nearly 13 years.
