John,
In a moment, I'm going to humbly ask you to consider making a contribution to our grassroots campaign for Congress. But before I do that, I want to let you know what I've been up to lately.
In July, I attended a conference in Washington, DC on building progressive power where I met fellow candidates for Congress, Greg Casar (TX-35) and Delia Ramirez (IL-3). Together, we discussed the importance of fighting for our communities and organizing for bold change including Medicare for All and a Green New Deal once we get to Congress.
Last weekend, I got to spend some much-needed time in PA-12 being out in the community and meeting folks. On Saturday, I joined a canvass in the Northside with PA Dems to help get out the vote for Democrats up and down the ballot. From every conversation I had, it was clear folks are ready for November!
Then, I went over to South Pittsburgh for GoatFest and Carrick Community Day. My nephew loved the goats, and I loved meeting new neighbors and hearing what they're looking for from PA-12's next representative.
Being out in the community working alongside neighbors, community leaders, and other elected officials is what's important to me in this race. And it's why I decided from day one of this campaign that we wouldn't accept a cent from corporate PACs — because I'm running to serve the everyday people of Western Pennsylvania, not special interests.
John, I'm ready to join Congress and fight every day for the folks of this district and communities like it, but I need your help to get there. If you're with me in this movement for racial, environmental, and economic justice, will you chip in $5 or more now to power our campaign ahead of the general election?
Thank you so much for being a part of this,
Summer Lee
