We just saw a huge win for progressives here in Michigan’s 12th Congressional District.

My campaign was up against $1 million in outside spending by billionaire-funded super PACs. They tried to silence us to maintain an unjust status quo that puts the interests of corporations ahead of everyday people and our democracy.

But, like Ilhan says, organized people beat organized money. People in our district showed the super PACs and billionaires trying to unseat me that we can’t be bought.

Now, a right-wing super PAC backed by wealthy real estate developers in MN-05 is pouring $350,000 behind a TV ad buy in the 11th hour to boost her conservative primary opponent. She's counting on our progressive movement’s support to fight back. It's time to show the billionaire bullies and super PACs spending big to try to unseat Ilhan that the status quo has no place in Minnesota's 5th District:
