Early voting for NY-16 district starts in just seven days, and we want to
explain why gaining grassroots donations from emails just like these is so
crucial to our efforts to protect Jamaal and our progressive power in
Congress.

We're up against a far-right movement and a radical Supreme Court that's
trying to take away human rights like the right to have an abortion, the
right to have clean air, and our freedom to vote. Asking you for a $5 or
$10 donation may seem like an insignificant request, but reelecting Jamaal
is the only way we will be able to keep a progressive bloc in our House of
Representatives to fight back against these attacks.

Together, we can channel our outrage into action and make sure we have the
votes needed to push back against the far-right. [ [link removed] ]That's why we're

power our efforts to keep Jamaal in Congress and continue growing our
progressive momentum before Election Day?

Already, we're seeing how important it is to keep organizing our
progressive movement. President Biden was reluctant to take action after
SCOTUS overturned Roe v Wade, but after immense public pressure, he came
out in favor of getting rid of the filibuster in the Senate to codify Roe
as the law. We kept up the pressure on gun laws, on funding to fight
climate change, and on fixing problems with Medicare, and it looks like we
may overcome opposition as soon as this weekend and get them all done.

We have to do more — but we can only achieve anything by protecting and
expanding the power of progressives within the Democratic party. Without
that, we're stuck with a complacent establishment and more inaction.

In our campaign, we're facing establishment-backed opponents who will be
another roadblock to aggressive action against this extremist Supreme
Court. [ [link removed] ]So we're asking if you can chip in whatever you can to help our
movement win reelection and keep Jamaal in the fight. We only have seven
days left to make as much of an impact as possible.

As a grassroots-funded campaign, our movement is a direct result of what
happens when people come together to support progressive ideas that work
and to uplift leaders that actually care about their constituents. It is
entirely possible that we can defeat our establishment opponents, but only
if we fight like hell to defend our rights. The stakes could not be
higher.

If we successfully expand our Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate and
protect Jamaal's seat here in NY-16 we can finally kill the filibuster.
That means Congress can then finally codify the right to an abortion, as
well as the other rights the Supreme Court is coming after, like right to
contraception and the right to gay marriage.

It's a tough fight, but we know what we have to do — now we just have to
