Yes, this is the position of right-wing lunatic Tudor Dixon, whom the Michigan Republican Party nominated on Tuesday as their gubernatorial candidate in Michigan. She is heartless, she is mindless and she is all too happy to torture young girls with forced birth, cause emotional anguish for women raped and impregnated and control the bodies and lives of women who just believe it's their own damn right to control their own damn bodies, not turn them over to Tudor Dixon! Dixon is also an election denier who has consistently lied, saying the 2020 election was "stolen" the kind of violence that led to January 6th in Washington. But, in Michigan, it's even more personal. You may remember a plot was stopped by the authorities that had been planned by far-right militias who support Dixon, a plot that included plans to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer and other statewide officials and Democrats, and execute them. Dixon, like so many in the GOP today, is playing with fire, and we can't let her burn us all. Governor Whitmer, meanwhile, is one of the most talented, toughest and most accomplished governors in the country. Whitmer, who came close to becoming a victim of this insane right-wing plot, didn't stop, slow down, or apologize for a second. Can you join me in giving whatever you can, be it $2, $5 ,$10 or any amount, to progressive, Democratic hero Gretchen Whitmer in her effort to stop a forced-birth-for-molested-14-year-olds, radical seditionist from taking control of the government in Michigan? She could have let it scare her into inaction. She didn't. She could have let it convince her to walk away. She didn't. She instead has compiled a record in a key swing state--one we must hold if we are going to re-elect President Biden in 2024--that is the envy of most governors around the country. |
