ACADEMY NIGHT AT NICEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ON AUGUST 16TH
On Tuesday, August 16th, my office is hosting our annual Academy Night at Niceville High School (800 E Johns Sims Pkwy, Niceville, FL), from 6 – 8:30PM. The Academy Night is an opportunity for high school students to speak directly with me and Service Academy representatives to learn more about the process for granting admission to the U.S. Service Academies and receiving a Congressional Nomination (required for entry). All high school students, JROTC groups, parents, principals, and teachers are invited to attend this event to learn more about entry to the U.S. Service Academies.

CONGRESSMAN GAETZ SPEAKS AT FORT WALTON BEACH CHAMBER'S FIRST FRIDAY BREAKFAST
Today, I had the privilege of speaking to Northwest Floridians at the Fort Walton Beach Chamber's First Friday Breakfast. I gave an update on the importance of Northwest Florida's defense priorities. I am currently fighting for Northwest Florida's military mission in Washington, D.C., and will continue to advocate for this as Congress further considers this year's National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). I was honored to hear from and engage with local businesses in my district, as they continue to navigate the challenges of today's economy.

Last night, I joined Tucker Carlson on Fox News, where we discussed the hypocrisy of a federal government that seeks to disarm law-abiding Americans, while acquiring large amounts of ammunition for the IRS and other federal agencies. In July, I introduced the Disarm the IRS Act, which would prohibit the IRS from using any funds to purchase ammunition moving forward. In 2022 alone, the IRS has already spent $725,000 on ammunition. This must stop.
