Today, the full body of the
Republican National Committee officially selected Milwaukee as the
host city for the 2024 Republican National Convention! After Joe Biden
and Democrats abandoned the Badger State for Delaware in 2020, this
announcement is a major victory for the city of Milwaukee and all of
Wisconsin, and comes after months of hard work by the Milwaukee Host
Committee and VISIT Milwaukee in partnership with local elected
officials. As Chairman Paul Farrow said in our official statement,
“Rightfully deemed part of America’s Heartland, the hardworking
farmers, manufacturers, and families of Wisconsin are the heart of
what makes our nation special, and this convention will allow us to
showcase all that the Badger State has to offer to the country and the
world.” Read our full press release here.

In Case You Missed
It…
It’s no wonder that Barnes’
championing of defunding the
police, abolishing ICE, and ending cash bail is
already causing problems for his campaign in purple Wisconsin. Add in
his platform to support the Green New Deal, which
would crush farmers in the Heartland, impose Medicare for All, raise taxes on others while refusing to
pay his own, and serve as a rubber stamp for Biden’s
failed policies, it’s clear that Barnes’ candidacy is a recipe for
disaster with moderate voters.
It’s no secret that Tony Evers
wants to increase the size of state government. Over the past three
years, Evers has proposed government-run health care, “equity
officers” at state agencies,
fossil fuel penalties, and
$1 billion in tax hikes to pay for it all – but Evers’
state government is dysfunctional as it is, and he isn’t doing
anything to fix it.
It would appear that Evers never
learned from his mismanagement of the Department of Workforce
Development, which resulted in some Wisconsinites being caught in the
unemployment claims backlog for over a year.
Unfortunately, Evers still isn’t up to the job of leading state
government.
