Friend,
Yesterday I joined U.S. senators and activists outside the Capitol to call on Congress to pass the Inflation Reduction Act.
We’re closer than ever to this bill being passed. Even Sen. Kyrsten Sinema looks like she has signed off on it. If everything goes well, the Senate will pass it over the weekend. But we must keep up the momentum today and tomorrow. What we need more than anything right now is to continue calling the Senate to tell them to pass the Inflation Reduction Act.

Since the press conference yesterday I’ve received thousands of vile tweets from right-wing extremists. They know that this bill is on the verge of passing, so they’re ramping up their personal attacks on people like us. The Inflation Reduction Act will lower drug costs, let Medicare negotiate drug prices, keep Affordable Care Act premiums from increasing, address the climate crisis, bring down families’ energy bills, reduce our emissions, raise taxes on tax-dodging corporations and lower the deficit. This bill will help the American people.
The attacks are meant to distract us from our work to make life better for Americans. Let’s show them that we can’t be sidetracked and that we’ll do what it takes to get this bill through the Senate.
If you have a minute please write to your senators right now. Let’s finally get this done.
In unity,
Randi Weingarten
