Dear friends,

On August 12, 2015, a group of 21 American children filed a groundbreaking new constitutional climate lawsuit against their federal government.

Next Friday, as a result of the ongoing, unjust actions of the U.S. Department of Justice, these committed young climate leaders will cross another threshold in their case: seven years.
Filing Juliana v. United States on August 12, 2015
Seven years since they filed their case. Seven years of pernicious and egregious attempts by the U.S. Department of Justice to delay and dismiss their lawsuit. Seven years of rapidly accelerating climate disaster.

But even through the inspiring highs and very deep lows of their case and their individual journeys, these young people have not backed down and they have not given up. They have not walked away from taking on the federal government and they have not walked away from each other. Nor will we. And we know you won’t either. We are in this together.

Seven Years of Climate Injustice is Seven Years Too Many.
Let’s Mark the Date by Taking Action!
The Juliana youth plaintiffs and their attorneys, July 2022
Join Us on August 12th for an Online Call to Action Event!
We’re taking this significant day - a reminder of our federal government’s aggressive efforts to prevent these young citizens from being heard by their own courts - and turning it into a day of action.

Join us online Friday, August 12th at 1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern for a one hour online community gathering to discuss seven ways you can take action TODAY!

What: Juliana v. U.S.: Seven Years, Seven Calls to Action!
When: Friday, August 12th at 10:00am HST / 1:00pm PDT / 2:00pm MDT / 3:00pm CDT / 4:00pm EDT
Where: Online. Register here!

You’ll hear from Julia Olson, lead counsel in Juliana v. United States, who will share where we are with the case today (spoiler alert: we’re waiting for an any-day-now ruling on the youths’ motion to amend their case - where a favorable decision would put them back on the path to trial!) and why it’s so important for people around the world to take action today in support of these 21 young people and their critically important case.

Join Us Friday and Let’s Turn This Unjust Anniversary into a Community Call to Action!
In solidarity,
