Dear John,

Far too many of our public officials continued to bury their heads in the sand in 2019, ignoring the dire financial threat posed by our nation’s $23 trillion debt. What’s worse, a number of these officials proposed tens of trillions of dollars in new federal spending programs that would add to America’s mounting indebtedness. But who truly stood out as the worst custodian of your hard-earned tax dollars this year? Cast your vote for CAGW’s 2019 Porker of the Year!

Chosen based on the number of views of their Porker of the Month videos, the nominees are:

Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.), for his comments in defense of wasteful and corruptive pork-barrel earmarks.

Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.), for spreading wild inaccuracies about the impact on consumers of repealing heavy-handed Obama Administration regulations of the internet.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio), for her proposal to push the financially-incompetent United States Postal Service into the banking business.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), for introducing the “Green New Deal,” which would bankrupt America, restrict individual freedom, and hand over vast amounts of power to the federal government.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), for pushing a partisan prescription drug plan that would impose innovation-killing price controls on the pharmaceutical industry.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), for proposing a taxpayer-funded bailout of all student loan debt and “free” college.

John, cast your vote by 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, December 27, to help determine who receives the “dishonor” of being named CAGW’s 2019 Porker of the Year!

We will announce the winner of our online poll on January 7, 2020.

Sincerely,

Paul Sullivan

P.S. Help us get as many Americans as possible to take part in our poll. Forward this message to your friends, neighbors, and colleagues!
