Dear John,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all you’ve done for conservation and democracy in Wisconsin.
Your passion, activism, and support helps us do our work to protect Wisconsin’s natural resources and elect leaders who are fighting for our environment and democracy – like the Conservation Champions we’ve been celebrating across the state. If you're in the Milwaukee area, join us to celebrate our Southeast Wisconsin Conservation Champions on August 31!
I wanted to pass along this quote from Conservation Champion Rep. Jimmy Anderson at our recent Conservation Scorecard event in Madison: |
I know we are going through difficult times but you cannot lose hope because that's how the other side wins. Cynicism and despair are the tools they use to hollow you out and leave you feeling like there's no alternative, that you should just give up. I'm asking you to do the harder thing, maybe the hardest thing: to find hope. Some people see a picture of the universe and see only overwhelming nothingness. Other people appreciate the stars. I'm asking you to find your star, your kernel of hope amongst the nothingness, and to press on.
