Senator Ron Johnson:
Medicare, Social Security be approved on annual basis
John,
Republicans in Washington are saying the quiet part out loud regarding their legislative agenda if they retake the House and Senate. They are determined to put Social Security and Medicare
on the chopping block.
First, Senator Rick Scott admitted the GOP plans to raise taxes on roughly 100 million middle-class Americans while threatening to sunset Social Security and Medicare within five years.
Now, Senator Ron Johnson is suggesting these vital programs -- which Americans pay into -- should be up for congressional approval each year.
Here in the 49th District, my opponent is campaigning on the agenda to “freeze" then cut all non-military discretionary spending. He’s in lockstep with GOP leadership on an economic agenda that would
devastate working families and seniors.
We need to vote like Social Security and Medicare is at stake, because it is.
If we’re going to protect Medicare and Social Security, we need to keep the Republicans from taking the Majority in 2022. It’s that simple. My race is on the frontlines in our shared effort to keep House control. If you’re with us, chip in $3 to my campaign today.

The GOP playbook is to distract the American people with wedge issues that divide us. But behind the scenes, their true intent is an economic agenda that would devastate working families.
It’s our job to expose the national Republican agenda and make sure they never get the chance to move it forward:
If you can, please consider chipping in $3 to help me defend Social Security and Medicare in Congress.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
