Dear Green American,

Systemic housing discrimination leads to a cycle of poverty that families may be stuck in for decades or centuries.

Black Americans especially, who are overall greatly disadvantaged in building housing wealth, face systemic barriers to getting out of previously redlined neighborhoods.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

Today's email is the third in a series from our summer Green American magazine where we focus on discrimination and the radical and not-so-radical solutions across the country.

Read Housing Discrimination and the Poverty Trap.

Fighting for justice for all communities and opening our minds to unlearning harmful beliefs can propel us forward to a world built on thriving communities and care.

Because together we rise.

Find more stories and strategies for dismantling racism in the full issue "Divided, We Fall."
