AFT PLANS DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FORUM IN STEEL CITY TO ATTACK PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS!

The AFT and Anti-Ed forces have invited the Democratic Presidential candidates to a “Public Education Forum 2020: Equity and Justice for All”. Regrettably, no charter or reform minded voices have been invited to participate in this nationally televised forum.  Keystone State Governor Tom Wolf in August pledged to the unions he’d rein in charter school freedoms. This forum gives him the perfect opportunity, with our help, to make our collective voices fighting for school choice heard! Together, we are helping transform our education system by breaking down barriers and expanding education freedom for families nationwide.

Background: The organizing coalition for the Democratic candidates forum includes national groups such as the American Federation of Teachers, Alliance for Educational Justice, Center for Popular Democracy, Action Journey for Justice Alliance, NAACP, National Education Association, Network for Public Education Action, Schott Foundation for Public Education and the Service Employees International Union.
