Team,
The Trump Administration launched an assault on our efforts to curb climate change and protect our communities when they opened up public lands in central California to fossil fuel drilling.
Now, we’re making progress reversing that mistake: This week, we put a halt to new drilling and fracking efforts in central California as our fight continues.
This is a big win for our fight to protect our state. Fracking is a public health risk, it’s damaging to our environment, and it’s not in line with our goals in combating climate change. The bottom line: It’s dangerous for California and bad for our planet.
We must continue the fight to put a stop to fracking, protect our communities, and curb climate change. Please, rush a donation to my campaign to help me continue to take on Big Oil >>
This has been a long battle to protect over a million acres of public land in central California from oil and gas drilling. When the Trump Administration opened our state to fracking and drilling, they didn’t consider the consequences of polluted groundwater, toxic air emissions, or minor earthquakes – all impacts of fracking.
We fought back, filing a lawsuit against the Bureau of Land Management. Now, thanks to this win, we’ll be able to preserve our public lands from these impacts as our fight continues.
Protecting our environment and communities from the effects of harmful drilling is a critical component in the fight against climate change. Chip in to my campaign today and let’s keep this fight going together.
Thank you,
Rob Bonta
