DALLAS, TX – I recently launched a summer workforce initiative and website: TX24works.com, a one-stop shop with links and information on workforce opportunities in North Texas. This week, we highlighted the transportation industry that keeps Texas running by connecting folks with careers in this important industry. As part of this week's transportation focus, I visited Kroger's new distribution facility in DFW with Dallas Workforce Czar Lynn McBee. This facility is bringing jobs to North Texas and delivering groceries to the front door for millions. I enjoyed my time at the Tarrant Area Food Bank where I was able to hear about their work to help the community and pack some much needed food. I was devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski on Wednesday. Jackie was a long time public servant, loving wife, and devoted friend. She will be deeply missed by all of those who were blessed to know her. Please join me in praying for her family.
