We are fast approaching a point of no return on climate change.

Scientists have stated unequivocally that we must take rapid, far-reaching action to phase out fossil fuels and transition to cleaner, smarter energy if we're to beat the clock and avoid global catastrophe.

But we've wasted far too much time already and our window of opportunity is rapidly shrinking.

We must heed the old proverb that says, "If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging." The Trump administration has spent the last two years digging us ever deeper into a hole of fossil fuel dependence and climate destruction by aggressively approving massive oil, gas, and coal projects.

It's clear: President Trump will dig us past the point of no return on the climate crisis — and we must take action in and out of the courtroom. NRDC needs to raise $250,000 by July 31 to do just that and I'm asking for your help: Donate now to stand strong with NRDC to stop Trump's radical fossil fuel agenda and your gift will be DOUBLED for even greater impact.

In less than three years in office, the Trump administration has pushed to revive the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, allow oil companies to drill in the Arctic wildlife habitats, and commence seismic blasting to find oil and gas reserves in the coastal waters of our East Coast. They even plan to gouge an open pit coal mine out of scenic land on the doorstep of Bryce Canyon National Park.

These climate-wrecking projects must be stopped.

Thankfully, NRDC's legal team is fighting back in federal court on all of these key fronts and more — and winning. This organization's track record of success is phenomenal. In fact, NRDC has already scored 47 legal victories over the Trump administration and counting, proving that courtroom action can slam the brakes on this president's pro-polluter agenda.
