Florida is the freest state in the nation because we reject the wokeness that has taken over other states and institutions. While blue states and corporate America fully embrace this mind virus, Florida has stood strong against ideologies that seek to incite division and hate amongst our citizens.
You don’t need me to tell you that our country is heading down a dangerous path. The Democrat Machine is infecting our nation from the inside out, and the root of it all is a woke and destructive ideology.
This incessant need to control every aspect of our lives and force one point of view on us all or risk being “canceled” is a mind virus that is destroying any institution that it gets hold of.
We’ve seen this in all corners of our lives, but most egregiously in our education system. Other states have bent the knee to the woke mob, injecting Critical Race Theory and gender ideologies into our youngest and most impressionable kids — but I can tell you in the state of Florida, we've drawn a very clear line in the sand.We've said that the purpose of our education system is to educate our kids, not to indoctrinate our kids.
The Left wants to use CRT to distort American history in an effort to delegitimize our Founding Fathers and the principles of this country with the goal of replacing it with their Leftist ideology.
You and I both know that will be a disaster for our society and our country, John. We know this woke ideology is rejected by the overwhelming majority of Americans. In Florida, we reject that.
The truth is this woke agenda has injected itself into the inner workings of elite institutions and poisoned their entire frameworks.
We see it at the universities. We see it in corporate America. We even see it in the military. They're trying to take the basic structure and purpose for these organizations and turn them into parasites for the Democrat Machine. Corporate media and Big Tech long ago abandoned their purpose to inform and connect people and transformed into the censorship arm of the Democrat Party, stifling dissent, stifling conservative voices, and silencing any and all points of view that differ from their own.
In Florida, we’ve rejected these woke ideologies seeking to further divide us rather than unite us. We’re standing up to the Democrat Machine, to the legacy media, and to woke corporations. We’re sending a strong message while doing it: your lies might fly in California, but they will not be tolerated in the state of Florida.
Democrats have taken note of our Freedom Agenda, and they’ve made Florida their number one target for elections this November. They know we are the greatest threat to their war on democracy because we are the strongest soldiers in the battle for liberty and freedom.
