John, we’re just four days out from Wisconsin’s primary election — and right now all signs point to voters choosing Mandela Barnes as the Democratic nominee to take on Republican Ron Johnson in November.
If we’re going to gain the Senate seats we need to end the filibuster, codify abortion rights into law, and move our people’s agenda through Congress, we need to win in Wisconsin. But in order to defeat a well-funded incumbent like Johnson, we are going to need to hit the ground running.

At every step of the way, Senator Ron Johnson has failed Wisconsin working families:
- He was deeply involved in Donald Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election.
- He has dismissed the horrific effects repealing Roe will have on people in Wisconsin and across the country.
- He voted against the bipartisan gun violence bill.
- And he’s abandoned his constituents on issue after issue.
The Republican Party knows Johnson is one of the most vulnerable Senators up for reelection, so they’re already running ads to help him and have started attacking Mandela. We have to be able to counter their attacks and reach voters now, before their ads and lies do. But in order to expand our voter outreach plans, we need an increase in grassroots support.
