Heading into 2020, Republican politicians have a choice: they can blend in with Democrats, or they can differentiate themselves. Citizens deserve to see a clear distinction, not a mushy, muddled mess of a message. The time for timidity has come to an end.
Republicans who fail to deliver on their promises, who refuse to present a bold vision, will find themselves struggling to win. Meanwhile, those who can point to a clear record of meaningfully delivering on their promises and waging a real and substantive fight with the Democrats and crony elite, will win.
Conservatives are going to fight for Donald Trump because he has been fighting for us. In 327 days, when America wakes up to the happy news Donald Trump has won re-election, it will be because he has done – or attempted to do – what he promised, unabashedly and without apology.
As a reminder, the 2020 primary is right around the corner (81 days!). Candidates seeking to be considered for endorsement [[link removed]] by Texans for Fiscal Responsibility should fill out a questionnaire by the close of business this Friday.

With nearly 20 candidates vying for the Republican nomination in the open-seat Congressional District 22 race, only one seems to be an anti-Trump activist. Cary Cheshire reports Pierce Bush – grandson and nephew of the former presidents and cousin to the Texas Land Commissioner – participated in an anti-Trump rally in 2017.
Amidst plans from the City of San Antonio and the General Land Office to renovate and “re-imagine” the Alamo, State Rep. Kyle Biedermann (R–Fredericksburg) sent a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday [[link removed]] urging him to halt the movement of the Alamo Cenotaph, a monument commissioned on the centennial anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo that serves as a tombstone for the men who gave their lives in the fight for Texas independence at the storied site.
A new educational Christian nonprofit group, Christians Engaged, has launched in the Lone Star State. Brandon Waltens reports [[link removed]] the organization promises to motivate, educate, and activate Christians “from the pews to the polls.”
“This is not a time to run and hide. This is a time for us as believers in Jesus to be on the frontlines for Texas and for America.” – Tracey Bradford of Christians Engaged [[link removed]]
Taxpayers are still paying the fine for Dallas County Schools, the biggest corruption scandal in Texas history. In a new commentary, Dallas businessman Don Huffines describes [[link removed]] his efforts to eliminate a hundred-year-old government agency with approximately 3,000 employees that had no teachers, no students, and no schools.
In solidly Republican Collin County very few GOP incumbents will face primary challenges, but Erin Anderson finds [[link removed]] Democrats have fielded candidates in all the Texas House and district court races. Number of the Day
