John — as we get closer to Election Day, you’re going to hear a lot of claims about my record here in Colorado.

I’m very proud of what we’ve gotten done these last four years, but I also know my opponents are trying to win this election by distorting my record and making misleading claims.

Fortunately, team, we have the facts on our side. So here are some important facts about how we’re working to save money for Colorado families:

-We’ve closed tax loopholes that were benefiting corporations and special interests — and cut taxes for Colorado families and small businesses.
-We lowered property taxes, got rid of state tax on seniors’ social security, and made it $1 to start a business.
-This spring, we cut red tape and made historic investments to create more affordable housing in Colorado.
-We’re about to send every Colorado a $750 tax rebate in the next couple weeks.
-Starting next year, preschool in Colorado will be free for every four-year-old — saving parents with preschoolers an average of $4,300.

John, here’s the thing: Coloradans have a lot going on in their lives, so we can’t expect folks to just know off the top of their heads everything we’ve gotten done. We need to make our case to voters — and make it enthusiastically in every corner of the state.
