This is alarming, friend. Glyphosate crosses the blood brain barrier and may contribute to neurological diseases. A groundbreaking animal study found for the first time that glyphosate can infiltrate the brain and change the levels of two key molecules, TNF-α and Amyloid-β. Elevated TNF-α is a key indicator of inflammation in the brain, which plays a role in many neurological diseases. Soluble Amyloid-β is responsible for plaques, a classic hallmark of Alzheimer’s. Both are elevated after exposure to glyphosate. More research is needed to explore glyphosate’s links to neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s, but this new research is already sounding alarms. We need the EPA to take action to protect our health NOW. EWG is looking for 8,000 of our top supporters to help us formulate our plans. Can we count on you to weigh in before midnight tonight? |
