We’re writing to thank you - for getting involved in the Positive Money campaign to stop free cash machines closing over the last few weeks. With everything else that goes on during an election, it’s impressive what Positive Money supporters have achieved together to push this important issue up the political agenda...

• Thousands of us have emailed nearly 2000 MP candidates in 70% of the parliamentary constituencies around the UK.
  

• Hundreds of us have been sharing this 1-minute video to expose the issue. Check it out if you haven’t already!

• Our research team analysed ATM data and exposed just how many free-to-use cash machines have closed in a year in every parliamentary constituency across the UK.

• And the message is starting to get through: we’ve seen encouraging replies from candidates across the Labour, Conservative, Green and Liberal Democrat parties.

• Some super hero supporters even went to local hustings events to ask candidates a question face-to-face!

• Finally, our crowd-funded YouGov poll showed that a whopping 88% of people want the next government to guarantee free cash machines are kept open.

Whether we can freely access our money - without having to rely on digital money held by banks and card companies - is an important issue for the future of our democracy. Will our money system remain public? Or in the hands of private companies?

Whoever makes up our government come Friday morning, one thing’s for sure, Positive Money is going to keep fighting for a money system that is fair and accessible to everyone in 2020. 

But for now, we want to celebrate what we’ve achieved together in the last few weeks.
