Visit MnDOT and many other partners at the Mall of America for Experience STEAM!
The National Center for Autonomous Technologies (NCAT) and partners have teamed with the Mall of America for their 30th?Birthday Celebration to offer?Experience?STEAM?on August 10-14. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. each day.
This exciting 5-day event is set to spark interest and excitement in?STEAM?(science, technology, engineering, arts, math). Activities will include a?STEAM?Carnival which consists of 5-30-minute tactile educational?experiences, student competitions, and no cost pre-registered student camps and educator workshops. Providing the?STEAM?experience?is just the beginning. The next step is to follow the pathway to post-secondary education and a career in the?STEAM?field. The National Science Foundation (NSF), Minnesota Department of Transportation, and over 37 Educational and Corporate partners will be there to guide the way!?
You are invited to join us at?Experience?STEAM anytime during the event. There is no charge to attend and Metro Transit is offering free transportation passes for this event!??
MnDOT will have an exhibit outdoors in the north parking lot where you can meet and tour one of our named snowplows, Plowasaurus Rex. We will also have other equipment which varies each day including our high-tech Road Doctor survey van and one of the Snooper trucks used for inspecting bridges.
MnDOT will also have an exhibit inside the mall on level 1 in the Southeast hall where you will get to try out a few fun aeronautics activities and learn more about STEM careers at MnDOT!
