Wait, are we done with the debate on climate change already? What did I miss? I had just gone to the fridge to get my Diet Dr. Pepper and. when I came back.. okay, I guess so much for the greatest existential threat to the planet. -- Dan Rather

Many candidates, like Mayor Pete, Bernie Sanders, and Joe Biden, were cut off after just 30 seconds when they were rolling out their aggressive plans to address the climate crisis.

Others couldn’t get a single word in!

Let's talk climate!

And while Dan Rather’s commentary about grabbing a drink and missing the climate portion of the debates is comical, the implications aren’t:

Climate change is seldom far from my mind. It's causing real damage and death. It's so omnipresent it rarely tops the headlines, but it's one of the most important stories of our time.

Tens of thousands of you identify climate change as a pressing concern and as one of your top priorities as a voter.

More time is spent on banter between media hosts, commercial breaks, and sponsorships during the Presidential debates than the literal issue that could define the future of human civilization.

Dan’s right. A couple of minutes just won’t cut it. With the debates right around the corner -- Add your name if you believe MORE time should be spent discussing climate change >>

314 Action is a grassroots community of nearly 1 million people working to elect Democratic scientists who will use science and facts to address some of our most pressing issues like climate change and health care. In 2018 we played a pivotal role in flipping the US House of Representatives by electing 9 Democratic scientists to the House and Senate as well as over 100 to key legislative districts while raising over $5.2 million with an average donation of just $27.55. Now we're focused on flipping the US Senate, defeating 25 climate deniers in Congress and flipping key state legislatures across the country.
