The inside of a polling booth might feel a long way from the freedom, power and beauty of the ocean. But we live on an island nation -- the ocean is never far away.

The MPs who are elected today will take responsibility for so much that shapes our lives. It will be up to us, #GenerationSea, to make sure the ocean’s voice is heard.

We need fast action to tackle the climate crisis. An end to plastic pollution. Protected areas for ocean life. No matter what happens with Brexit, we must not allow sewage back into the sea.
