In firing our State Attorney Andrew Warren, Governor DeSantis made clear his reason:

He wants to be able to prosecute women who seek abortion care in Florida.

Not for nothing either, our State Attorney is twice elected by the citizens of Hillsborough County, so this is a slap in the face to the overwhelming majorities who voted him into office and learned this morning that the Governor's vote is apparently the only vote that matters in our state.

And let's not forget, Andrew Warren is THE person who would prosecute election fraud in an election that is now just two weeks away. Oh, and to make matters worse–DeSantis is replacing him with a hand-picked Republican judge of his choosing while MANY of our opponenets (including mine) are ultra MAGA election deniers who marched on the Capitol on January 6th.

We cannot let this stand. 

Ours is THE seat holding the line in Florida preventing DeSantis from having a GOP supermajority allowing him to govern SOLELY by unilateral decision as he did today in Hillsborough County. If we let the GOP take back this seat, today's actions are how the "Free State of Florida" will be governed for good. EVERYTHING is on the line.

So please, chip in what you can, knock doors with us, and help us WIN this seat so we can keep doing the real work that needs to be done in our communities.
