john,
The results of the primary in Washington's 8th District are in, and it's official: Matt Larkin – the most extreme Republican in the primary – will be taking on Kim in November.
Here's a few things you need to know about Matt Larkin:
1️⃣ Larkin is a Trump Republican – In 2020, Larkin said "I love all of the things the President is doing… It's nice to see a President not care." Larkin even refused to say whether Joe Biden's victory in 2020 was legitimate.
2️⃣ Larkin is unapologetically anti-choice – Larkin celebrated the end of Roe v. Wade, going so far as to say he was the “only pro-life candidate” in the Republican primary race. Larkin even supports banning abortion in cases of rape and incest.
3️⃣ Larkin doesn't even live in our district – Larkin has focused his campaign on issues in Seattle because he doesn't even live in WA-08!
Now that Republicans have their nominee, Kevin McCarthy and dark money PACs are lining up behind Larkin and ready to pour money into this race to defeat Kim.
With so much on the line this November, we can't afford to have Matt Larkin elected to Congress. We need your help to fight back so Kim can defend this seat and the Democratic House majority.
