Submit Candidacy for DSA-LA Steering At-Large The candidacy filing period for the Steering Committee At-Large positions has been re-opened until tomorrow, December 12th at 11:59PM. You can submit your candidacy here. Candidates must be members in good standing, and national dues must have been paid by Wednesday, December 4th, to be eligible to run. The voting period for Steering Committee and Branch Coordinators will begin Saturday, December 14th and will end at 11:59PM on Saturday, December 22nd.
Reminder: Vote on Nithya for CD-4 Endorsement and Office Space Proposals Friendly reminder! DSA-LA is
holding two Local-wide votes: whether to endorse Nithya Raman
for CD-4 and whether DSA-LA
should pursue renting an
office space. If you are a
member in good standing, you should have received the ballot in your
email inbox. The votes will close on Sunday, December 15th at
11:59PM.
Calling All Hollywood Lefties! On Thursday December 12th, #HollywoodLabor is bringing Bernie supporters in the entertainment industry together for a Bernie Holiday Party in Silverlake's El Cid from 7 - 11PM. It's going to be a fun night with guest speaker Nithya Raman (#MeToo leader and candidate for City Council District 4) and other community activists. There will be cocktails, merch, and it's a chance to meet others in the entertainment industry. Tickets are $10 both online and at the door, available for purchase at the link below. Strike Support for Kaiser Mental Health Clinicians We are turning out for our NUHW mental health clinician comrades who are on strike against healthcare giant Kaiser Permanente.
