Dear John,

Protect the endangered sage-grouse and our public lands from Big Oil drilling!

Trump’s Bureau of Land Management is planning to open thousands of acres of land in Northern Colorado for new drilling and fracking projects. This land is home to the endangered sage-grouse.

This is the latest step in the Trump “Extinction Plan.” Time and again his administration has shown its willingness to sell off our land and sell out endangered wildlife.

We only have a few days left to pressure the BLM to change course. Can we count on you to protect these pristine lands and the iconic sage-grouse?

Protect the endangered sage-grouse: Tell the BLM to keep Big Oil out of our iconic wildlife habitats!

If the BLM leases these areas in Colorado for oil and gas development, it could destroy important nesting grounds for the sage-grouse. It would also damage important migration corridors for elk and pronghorn.

Moreover, the fracking technique used in Big Oil and Gas projects will be devasting to the health of local communities. Extracted fracking wastewater can be radioactive, and its disposal through injection wells has proven to increase earthquakes. And fossil fuel extraction fuels the climate crisis.

Scientists are warning that we have less than eleven years to take drastic action to prevent a climate emergency. We could be on the brink of an extinction crisis as well. We need the BLM to put our wildlife and communities ahead of Big Oil’s profits.

Now is the time to make your voice heard. Now is the time to protect Colorado’s public lands and wildlife!

Sign your name: Demand the BLM protect threatened wildlife from fracking and drilling!

This plan would impact thousands of acres of prime wildlife habitat in Northern Colorado. We can’t let Big Oil destroy these ecologically rich landscapes just so it can increase its profits.

The BLM’s proposed leases will pose a safety and health threat to endangered wildlife and the people who live on the surrounding land.

Now we need your help demanding the BLM halt this disastrous project in its tracks. If we don’t, these wild places will never be the same.

Help send 30,000 comments: Tell the BLM to protect threatened wildlife and cancel this lease sale now!
