John,
We just heard: Former Congressman Eliot Engel — who Jamaal beat in 2020 — just endorsed one of our opponents for NY-16.
We are in the final stretch of this primary election, and with just 19 days to go, the establishment is unifying to try to defeat Jamaal.
We've already overcome some big obstacles, including an unpredictable New York redistricting process that resulted in all-new boundaries for NY-16. Even though we were outraised 2:1 by our opponents, Team Bowman has been hard at work getting out into the district and getting the word out about Jamaal's reelection.
But we won't know if our efforts have been successful until the polls close on Election Day — and by then, it will be too late. We need to leave it all on the field and put all our effort into defeating the establishment that once again wants to block the progressive representation we won for NY-16. Please, rush a contribution right away.
Conservative Democrats are trying to drag our district back to a time when our representation put profits over people.
In order to keep up the national fight for progressive change like a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and paid family leave, we must expand our progressive power in Congress — that means we must defend Jamaal's seat.
Thank you — let's get to work.
