Just days after Kansas voted overwhelmingly to protect abortion rights, Governor Ron DeSantis suspended Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren today for refusing to prosecute women who end their own pregnancies.
This is a new low. It’s an authoritarian attack on women, and it’s wrong.
DeSantis is unquestionably one of our country’s MOST anti-choice governors. And he has plenty of allies in the State Legislature.
With his abortion ban and abuse of power, he’s proven to be a right-wing authoritarian who will stop at nothing to attack Florida women and secure his own power.
