I know your inbox has been overflowing with requests from the leaders of various charitable causes seeking donations.

John,

The political elite in Austin have a simple message for the grassroots: shut up.

Sure, they want sycophantic praise. They want to pretend a PURPLE session was a “super bowl” for conservatives.

From the Governor’s Mansion to the chairman of the GOP to the rank-and-file of the Texas Legislature, they have made it abundantly clear that appeasing Democrats and the crony lobby cartel is more important than delivering conservative results for Texas.

But we’re supposed to be happy? Maybe conservatives in California are happy with table scraps, but not in Texas. Rather than secure reforms protecting life, liberty, and property rights, Texas’ big-talking politicians have spent 2019 seeking to lower conservatives’ expectations.

On the one hand, we could capitulate to the sensitivities of politicians. We could just shut up and let them tell us what to think. We could go away. Or... We can fight. We can speak louder.

That’s my choice. What’s yours?

Make an end-of-year contribution [[link removed]] to Empower Texans, so we can build an army of likeminded Texans who won’t be cowed by politicians.

Consider making a gift [[link removed]] of $25, $50, or $100 right now. (Even better, set it up as a recurring monthly contribution [[link removed]] to keep us easily accountable to you and you alone.)

The politicians want us to go away? Not a chance. In 2020 we must build an army of Texans who will loudly and persistently demand real action on real reforms to use real results. Join us.

For Texas!
