John,

As a longtime Oregon resident, Jamie knows the feeling of fear that comes with frantically packing an emergency go-bag and going over your evacuation plan as you watch news of a wildfire inching closer and closer to your home.

It’s a reality Oregonians know all too well. And as the frequency and intensity of drought and wildfires increase, that reality isn’t going away.

We want to hear from you: How has climate-driven natural disaster impacted your life, your family, or your business? And what action do you want to see from your elected officials?

SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS

Leading wildfire recovery efforts in the City of Talent last year, Jamie came face-to-face with people whose livelihoods and homes had been destroyed, and she worked to secure millions of dollars in aid and housing to deliver relief to those families.

Jamie has dedicated her career to rebuilding communities and protecting natural resources, and that’s the expertise she will take to Congress.

We applaud the House for passing the Wildfire Response and Drought Resiliency Act, a huge step towards mitigating disaster and preparing our communities for future risk. Looking ahead, we will partner with impacted communities on building out additional policies and producers to prepare for these disasters.

Oregon families are already seeing the destructive reality of climate change – that’s why Jamie is asking you to share your thoughts and experiences. Please take our survey and tell us how the climate crisis has impacted your life.

Thank you for adding your voice to this important conversation.
