In a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a contribution toward our campaign's FEC fundraising goal. My hope is that you'll give me a quick minute to explain why this request is so important.

At the end of the month, my team will file our fundraising numbers with the FEC for the very last time this year. It's our best chance to show our GOP opponent, Jason Lewis, and right-wing special interests that we have what it takes to win re-election next year.

But while I've been focused on doing my job in the Senate -- from tackling the climate crisis to defending our health care against this administration's attacks -- outside groups have set their sights on our race and consider me a top target in 2020.

For the sake of our state, our country, and our chance to take back the Senate, we can't let them have their way. Too much is at stake to sit this election out. And in the face of so much money from special interests that is already pouring in to replace me, the only way we can fight back and win is through a groundswell of grassroots support.
