Pippa lamb smiles at Farm Sanctuary

AUGUST 2022

How Teamwork Brought a Rescued Lamb to Sanctuary

Pippa lamb was rescued from a meat production facility after weeks without treatment for a painful joint infection. Once in our care, she received the medical treatment she so desperately needed, including partial amputation of her right rear leg.

As she recovered at our Watkins Glen Sanctuary, Pippa spent her days cuddling a giant stuffed rhino, bonding with her caregivers, and resting in the sun. But Pippa needed other sheep friends, so in June, staff collaborated on a special project: bringing Pippa from our New York shelter to her new home — and new friends — in Acton, California.
