Sabotage. That’s the perfect word to describe what Donald Trump has tried to do to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) from the moment he took office.

Since 2016, enrollment has decreased by 10 percent despite the fact that more than two-thirds of Americans shopping on HealthCare.gov can find a plan for $10 or less this year.

Why has enrollment decreased despite so many affordable options? Because the Trump administration cut open enrollment’s marketing budget from $90 million to $10 million.

It’s safe to say that this is nothing but pure politics. Trump doesn’t care about delivering affordable healthcare to as many Americans as possible. He wants to erase every policy implemented under President Obama, no matter how many people rely on it.

Despite the Trump Administration’s best efforts to destroy the Affordable Care Act, health insurance premiums have decreased since the law took effect.
