I voted to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the most robust investment in our nation’s infrastructure in a century, to grow our economy, create good jobs, improve and expand our public transit and help lead the world in clean transportation. This Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is already at work here in Texas, establishing a grant program providing $500 million to help North Texas school districts purchase electric school buses. This week, I got the chance to highlight this program and take a ride on a new electric school bus.

I took the bus to school myself growing up in North Texas, so I know how important this is for families. By investing in clean, pollution-free electric school buses, North Texas school districts can lead the nation in the adoption of this technology. I thank Dr. Nance of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 for inviting me to see these electric buses at work and I look forward to seeing more of these electric school buses out around North Texas. 

It's an honor to serve North Texas, where I was born and raised.
