Hey John, my name is Marilyn Marler, your Representative from House District
90.

I have enjoyed the outdoors my entire life, and more recently, I’ve had
experience serving on committees and councils focused on protecting our
beautiful lands and ensuring we provide a sustainable environment for our next
generation. Montanans have worked hard to create lasting solutions for public
lands, specifically in the Blackfoot River watershed by pressing Congress to
pass the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act.

This legislation, introduced in the US Senate by Senator Tester, would protect
the Blackfoot River by permanently protecting its most important tributaries.
It will also secure and expand outdoor recreation opportunities in the
Blackfoot and Clearwater Valleys, as well as enhance timber production and
forest restoration in and around Seeley Lake.

This bill has 83% support in Montana, but I’d like to know why our Republican
Senator won’t co-sponsor it with Senator Tester.Steve Daines is apparently too
busy denying health care to Veterans and fist bumping Ted Cruz to worry about
his constituents back home.

So since Daines is unreliable, I’d like to know if you support the Blackfoot
Clearwater Stewardship Act. Take the poll below and let me know!

I’m not pleased with the leadership, or lack thereof, that we’re seeing from
our Republican representatives in Washington. And I’m certainly not pleased
with the radicalism that has taken hold of Republican legislators in the State
House and Senate.
