Dear FAIR Readers and Listeners,
This year, with your financial support, FAIR was able to:
* Post over 383 articles of media research and analysis on FAIR’s website.
Many of these articles were picked up by multiple other websites, Twitter and Facebook—expanding FAIR’s reach. Make sure to share our research and critiques!
* Broadcast 52 episodes of CounterSpin across the country—and available online.
Stations in areas with little or no alternative news got to lift up the progressive voices of social justice advocates, activists, researchers and independent reporters their listeners may not hear anywhere else
* Circulate 85 transcripts of CounterSpin interviews.
* Publish 10 issues of Extra!, the newsletter of FAIR.
The newsletter picks up the best of FAIR online—and sends it out in print and digital form. Librarians are often writing in to replace issues missing from their libraries. We see that as a good thing.

** the work that you helped make happen this past year ([link removed])
FAIR exposes corporate media’s sleight of hand: the false balance, anonymous corporate and official sources, the missing or neglected stories, the cherry-picked data—the list goes on. There’s a way to talk about the news without kowtowing to a corporate owner’s perspective or a political agenda. ** YOU help us do that. ([link removed])
We at FAIR are always gratified by the outpouring of enthusiasm and encouragement our year-end appeals evoke from our supporters. We do this fundraising out of necessity, and thank all who have given already. We hope if you haven’t—you can ** donate today ([link removed])
** . ([link removed])
Sincerely, Janine, Deborah and Jim
P.S. FAIR is offering you two thank-you gifts for your donation. The first gift is the 90-minute documentary film ** The Corporate Coup d’État ([link removed])
, co-produced by FAIR founder Jeff Cohen. The second premium is journalist Matt Taibbi’s new 304-page book, ** Hate Inc.: Why Today’s Media Makes Us Despise One Another ([link removed])
, an insider’s guide to the many ways today’s corporate media cherry-pick facts and tell us lies.
You can also mail a check to FAIR, 124 West 30th Street, Suite 201, New York, NY 10001.
FAIR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donation is tax-deductible.
