Sometimes I get asked why we think we can win this race in a “red district” in Tennessee.
This week, we got a road map — a massive victory in Kansas, where voters soundly defeated an amendment that would’ve opened the door to an abortion ban, 59% to 41%. Voters turned out in record numbers to defend their reproductive freedom from extremist Republicans determined to take their rights away.
John, that’s an 18% victory for abortion rights in a state that’s supposed to be +10 for Republicans — an almost 30% swing. You know where else is supposed to be comfortable for Republicans? Tennessee’s 7th District.
Together, we can do this ✊🏾. Y'all know I will never stop fighting for our right to control our own bodies.
Just like they did in Kansas, we’re going to fight. We have to stand up against our far-right opponent in defense of our freedom to get an abortion, our freedom to marry who we want, and every other freedom they’re out to take away. If you’re with me, chip in to our campaign today.

Trashing Roe was only the first step 😡. Now national Republicans want to make it ILLEGAL to get an abortion. Already, the Tennessee GOP put in place a severe abortion law in our state that will soon ban all abortions with NO exceptions for victims of rape or incest.
We know the people DO NOT want this. Republicans will continue to overstep and push cruel and unpopular legislation if we don’t stop them. If Democrats can hold the House and expand our majority in the Senate — both of which are possible! — we can codify the right to an abortion for everybody in this country.
These Kansas results provide a road map to winning in all 50 states, including Tennessee. Flipping this seat blue would 100% mean we keep the House in our hands, and I’ll be a proud YES vote on codifying abortion rights, gay marriage rights, and a whole lot more when I’m up on Capitol Hill.
