Picnic at Nebraska state parks: 10 great opportunities

Stone shelter at Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area

One of the best ways to enjoy summer is a picnic with family and friends ? and some of the best picnicking places in Nebraska can be found at state parks.

Nearly all of them offer picnic areas, and the best spots combine shade trees, nicely mowed areas, conveniently located restrooms and plenty of activities to enjoy before or after your meal.
