John, we need to be persistent in our fight for fair maps, no matter what gets thrown our way. Because that's exactly what our opposition is doing:
“Republicans keep gerrymandered maps — after they were struck down by court... Ohio Republicans have maneuvered to keep districts in place for this fall's election despite the state supreme court striking them down seven times this year” — The Guardian

Ohio Republicans have been relentless in their efforts to implement gerrymandered maps.
• First, Ohio Republicans ignored reforms passed by voters requiring fair districts, and they submitted rigged maps anyway.
• Then, when state courts struck down these unconstitutional maps, Republicans only made minor tweaks before resubmitting them — even though they knew the courts would reject the maps again. They did this six times.
• Now, because Republicans have run out the clock by playing political games, courts have ruled that it's too close to the election to throw out the GOP maps. That means this year's elections in Ohio will be held on unconstitutional maps.
It's appalling just how far Republicans are willing to go to undermine our elections… and their audacity leaves us with just two options:
Option One: We can give up. We can decide it's just not worth it to keep fighting the GOP because, no matter what we do, they'll keep working to find a loophole that lets them get their way. Left unchecked, Republicans will use anti-democratic means across the country to secure permanent minority rule.
Option Two: We can be just as relentless as they are. We can decide that the future of our democracy is just too important for us to let a few setbacks stop us. We can continue investing in target races across the country, working to pass new reforms, and helping elect leaders who will fight for the future of free and fair elections.
We're in this fight for the long haul, John, so we're taking Option Two. Can we count on you to join us with an urgent donation today?

Remember: Republicans will continue to be relentless in their efforts to undermine our democracy, so we need to be just as relentless in our efforts to defend it.
